i thought · the “white rabbit” · meant a leap of · Faith · your open palms · ready to take · My hand · the pocket watch · tossed aside · because it’s ok · to be late · the garden · in full bloom · welcoming the Lovers · strolling through · EAT ME! · DRINK ME! · an elaborate tea party · set for TWO

but alice · was not allowed · to keep pets · at home · and from the start · ONE foot out a tiny door · the open palms · were letting go · and the watch? · an egg timer · ticking away at this · LOVE · like a BOMB · the rain · washed away the paint · from a fake rose · and the table legs · collapsed
